Human Resources Analyst (Training/Volunteer Coordinator)

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/KCK is seeking a Human Resources Analyst (Training/Volunteer Coordinator) - This position is responsible for performing professional HR Administration duties specific to the HR disciplines of Training/Development and coordination of the UG Volunteer/Mentorship Program. The position will largely focus on Training Administration and oversee volunteers for the UG. Duties include: Developing training programs, curriculums, courses and presentations for all Unified Government employees; develop training needs/assessment tools and coordinate with departments to fulfill training requirements. Responsible for recordkeeping for training courses of all Unified Government employees and coordination of training conducted by outside agencies. Will conduct research on training topics, design and develop training courses to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment laws. Create announcements and promotional materials for training events and announcement for UG employee. This position will provide direct technical support for Human Resources staff to ensure functional administration of Learning Management System. Will also be responsible for the development and coordination of the volunteer program and development of a mentorship program. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and three years of Training experience in Human Resources Department or similar environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience in public speaking/teaching/training and experience in adult education and curriculum development. Strong knowledge of HR field and related federal, state and local employment laws; Experience with LMS systems preferred and extensive knowledge of computer-based applications specific to preparation of training visuals and materials. Strong skills in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Excellent customer service skills. Applicants should be prepared to present on a topic related to Human Resources for final interviews.
